Welcome to OMENS (Exhibition 005), a thoughtfully curated group exhibition exploring the evocative themes of tarot, modern folklore, and the seasonal turning of the sun, moon and cards.
Drawing deep inspiration from natural shifts, rich autumnal tones and celestial energy of October, this exhibition captures the magic of transition, celebration and mysterious alignment.
Featuring an exceptional lineup of talented local and emerging artists working across painting, sculpture, printmaking, and decorative arts. We’ve brought together tactile textures and reflective storytelling to examine how we mark time and seek meaning from the universe and beyond.
Pieces in “Omens”
Kiera Black is an Irish illustrator, art director and producer based in South-East London. She began the Silly Filly Store by accident one wet weekend at home in the wilds of West Cork, doodling flamboyant cowboys and desert friends, and soon developed a collection of prints with sentiment and silliness at their core. Her paintings, illustrations and terracotta friends are primitive, playful and colourful, aiming to highlight human emotions and contradictions as well as adding cheekiness and charm to the home.

Shóna Slemon (b. 1992, Limerick) is a West of Ireland-born, London-based artist, curator, writer and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, whose visual practice is an evolution of rural folk art, uniquely Irish and of our time. Slemon’s work roots itself in the search for modern sites of belief and resilience.
Blending her rural Irish upbringing (and its Catholic pastoral parallels across the Americas) with everyday objects of modern survival: the sacred, pharmaceutical, sentimental, and absurd, she asks what happens when we give them all a place on the altar.

Naomi Bailey is an artist based in East London, currently painting from her studio in Dalston. Her on-going series is focused on ‘Dancing Feet’ which capture the magical scenes of dancing from the perspective of the dance floor.
Her paintings express the fleeting moments of connection and collective joy that dance spaces bring. At a time where most of our lives are lived digitally, these paintings celebrate the importance of physical spaces and grass-root venues that bring music and dancing and people together.

The raffle is drawn on the last day of the 6 week exhibition period. Proceeds go directly to the artist!
