Whimsy celebrates the joy of imagination found in everyday life. Bringing together a vibrant collection of contemporary artists, the exhibition explores playful perspectives, nostalgic moments and unexpected beauty through painting and ceramics. From lively gatherings and treasured memories to expressive florals, characterful objects and bold colour, each work invites viewers to slow down, smile, and reconnect with a sense of curiosity. Whimsy is a reminder that creativity often flourishes in the simplest of moments, where delight, wonder and a touch of the unexpected can transform the familiar.
Raffle Piece
At The Artist's Cup, we believe everyone should have the chance to take home original art. That's why, with each exhibition, we choose one piece to raffle off for just £2 per entry.
This exhibition's raffle artwork is Deal Me In by Notsogracefulart (Grace Phillips), a playful, wine-soaked scene that feels like the aftermath of a very good picnic — cherries, cards and glasses scattered across a cheerful checkered tablecloth.
Tickets are £2 each, and you can enter as many times as you'd like. Entries are open throughout the exhibition and will close on 23rd September, with the winner drawn on the final day.
A tiny gamble, a beautiful painting, and the chance to become an art collector for less than the price of a coffee.
